Economic Impact of the 2030 Commonwealth Games
on Ahmedabad: A Qualitative Study

I wanted to understand what the Commonwealth Games could mean for Ahmedabad beyond the event itself. My paper looks at infrastructure, employment and the long-term use of the facilities built for the Games.

I drew on four expert interviews and compared Ahmedabad’s plans with earlier host cities. The study considers both the opportunities and the risks, including public spending, coordination and access for residents.
